One Room Challenge - Week 2: Design Direction
/It's already Week 2 of the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda from Calling it Home and sponsored by House Beautiful. In Week 1 I shared my very first One Room Challenge reveal as well as a sneak peek of my room for this challenge: my own principle bedroom/office.
Principle Bedroom Inspiration:
When looking for design inspiration for my bedroom, I started right here in Canada with Ines Mazzotta of Kelly Hopter Interiors.

I'm going for a creamy white envelope with Benjamin Moore's "Cloud White", layering some interest to the walls and ceilings with crown moulding and wall trim and adding a pop of colour with Designer's Guild "Orangerie" and rich velvet fabrics.

My collection of original art and limited edition prints as well as some redesigned furniture finds will finish off the space!
Office Inspiration:
I'm sure many of you will remember the original Domino Magazines!? If you're like me you're likely fiercely guarding these (as well as the new seasonal ones). This image from the March 2009 issue of Domino has been in my head for years and is the inspiration for my office mood board.

I'm not sure where I will put my desk (my Nanny's art deco dining room table) - by the windows or on the back wall. I'm a bit of a "spreader" so no matter where I put it I will also need extra storage. For this, I'll rely on my art deco secretary desk that my Dad bought me. I've been dying to use Farrow & Ball's wallpaper forever so this just might be my chance! You'll need to wait and see what I do with it :)
